Don't ask my neighbor http://youtu.be/DXdb
Let me introduce you to
the song called "Don't ask my neighbor"
by Nancy Wilson.
See I would rather be called a hoe
by this gutless , unaccountable
society, than to be the type of
woman that makes a
living getting over on
a man.
I'm addicted to the truth ,
It's like my blood , my veins
sweet juice.
If you really want to know
about me , ask me .
Ask the horse's mouth, is a
cliche` that resignates
come to the source,
don't take my verbal options
leave me a fighting choice.
In today's world, conflict
is based on "he" said "she" said
tactics. what happened to
the facts, or are we just
gossip chasers.
If ever asked what I gave in a relationship,
friendship, business partnership , I would
dilegently reply "I gave my best"
so with percipience I say
"don't ask my neighbor, come to me ,
never ask the friends I hang around,
don't be afraid of what you see ,
you'll find I love you".
Rather than to stir up
alot of confusion,
we need to come to
a respectful meeting of minds .
You don't have to pick people's
brains , people are screaming
out to be heard .
If ever you find , it's too difficult
to deal with who I am based
on my past , my religion , race,
gender , or political view, let me know.
I'll embrace the beauty of the
person you are, I'll mourn
the times we shared, but always
remember that I cared
I hold my chin in the air ,
even when my worth
is cheated. For I realize
that to love someone when I am
viewed as broken, used , is
not easy. To take your verbal
slandering abuse is a pleasure at times
the more I mature emotionally, spiritually,
and mentally, I realize your dealing
with your own brokeness , damage,
and fear of failure. But to see
you grow into a strong male
is truly worth it all.
