A True Poet

A True Poet

A true poet does not write
For fortune or fame
A poet writes to give knowlege
Does not offer it up like some foolish game
A poet does not need good comments
For the confidence to write
Its all about the passion
The chance to incite
It is to show emotion
From this day to the next
To question authority
To simpilfy the complex
We do not need praises
Criticism will not bring us down
We will continue to write
With pen on paper our words we will put down
So on with the subject
Others words we will shut out
This is our art, out passion
This is what being a poet is all about!!!
