    Mother and Child

    How do we get through
All of lifes toils and snares
How does a women deal with all the pain
    From the children she bares
What is the meaning of life
    Will we ever know
As a women watches her children
    As they learn and grow
    Together we watch
As leaves fall to the ground
In the middle of night, a child screams
    Through the storms thundering sounds
    There is a difference
    Between happiness and grief
The mother hugs and comforts her child
Brings the child some much needed relief
    Is this the difference
Between what's wrong and what's right
    The mothers child
Is now sleeping peacefully through the night
Time pasts so fast its hard to believe
As the crying mothers now grown child
Decides now is the time to leave
Life may seem a little crazy and wild
    The mothers now married daughter
Gives birth to her first child

Your poems are truly inspirational. I hope to read more.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
