    Military Funeral

     Battle-death
    In a foreign land
    Solemnly transported
    For a funeral with a marching band

    In a flag draped box
    Lies your mortal remains
    Your soul is gone
    But your memory remains

    Telling stories of your courage
    And everything you did
    Give the folded flag to your widow
    Your dogtags to your kid

    The human cost
    Patriotic sacrifrice
    You gave it your all
    To your country you laid down your life

    Pressed uniforms
    Marching of the boots
    The sound of the rifles
    (Fire!!) 21 Gun Salute

    White headstone
    Manicured grave
    Final salute
    To one of the fallen brave

    My daughter is in the Us Navy. OOh how I worry about her in Hahti and that poem was great and ooh so true and it rhymed to the letter. It felt all your pain in that one poem. Great job.
