dearest britt if you doth see
this poem i have writ for thee
it dost mean with greatest haste
i was chastened from this place
but from where i am i see
that you have ever still scorned me
for though my love like fire burns
it only in MY heart doth churn
you have left this up to me
that's as true as can be.
to win you love i must make haste
to say things short and true
i cannot think of something more worthy of my love, than you
Though things don't seem as they should
for you, my dear are the purest good
Nothing is as true as these words that I say.
from darkest night, to brightest day
the light lingers above us now
and i greet thee with a kiss, and a bow
Everything in the world is made true today
Choose me! i cry, Choose Me! i say
To be the chosen one is hard to be
if only i could make you love me
And see what's really left to see.
i dont wish to be chosen, i wish to be me
I don't want a fairytale or a perfect ending
i dont want to live my life, pretending
I just want to be known and seen
i want to live, and just be me
