    Fear
    To know and not to fear
    The lessons in life I try to hold dear
    Who is my friend, and who is my foe?
    Which one is which?
    I do not know.

    My world shakes.
    My foundation is cracked.
    I look around me and watch
    To learn how to act.

    Blown around by the wind
    My emotional tide
    My visions of beauty
    I look, but don't find.

    Where is my haven?
    I do not know.
    To whom am I seeking
    What seeds do I sow?

    Around and around
    This merry-go-round goes
    It's spinning so fast
    And I'm feeling so slow.

    Where am I seeking?
    What will I find?
    The things ahead of me?
    Or that are behind?

    The clock is ticking
    Is there enough time?
    To find what I seek
    And claim what is mine?
