    Whipping Goat

    'I need some short sleeve pants'
    He said
    He is alive
    My world is dead
    'Cause thinking of you
    Takes me back
    To worlds of lead
    When I was fed
    With hurt.

    'I'M NOT YOUR WHIPPING GOAT!'
    I said.
    'YOU TAKE YOUR SHIT;
    I'LL TAKE YOUR HEAD!
    AND DON'T YOU BOTHER WITH ME
    ANY MORE!    '

    He said
    'You'll do as you are told!
    I'll take your kids!
    I'll have you sold!
    I risked my life
    I broke the mold.

    And they arrested me
    I cried, so shamefully.
    They said 'Don't worry
    Cause it's really no big deal.'

    That wasn't how I felt.
    I thought that surely I would melt
    With sorrow.

    My friend,she came with me to court
    And honestly, I felt a wart
    Inside my heart
    Outside, it grew
    The looks, they shined
    But knives were few
    To cut the ropes
    That bound me to
    The hostage in
    My soul.
