Grace
He took me on vacationI was honored
I did like him
And reluctantly,
I went.
This vacation
Was a blast
And afterwards
He told me
What to do.
He said
'I own you now.'
'You've been absorbed
into the club
Because they like you
What an honor.'
And I stood afraid.
When he left
I wondered if
I'd done my best
In keeping
A straight face.
On my knees
I went
'Please help me, God
I know
I'm spent
And I do not deserve
Your grace
For me.'
Honestly, I cannot say
What happened.
But, to this day,
Nothing happened.
Even though my life
Was threatened.
Covered by the blood of Jesus
Instantly
I think of wheezes
From my past
When I was having
Trouble breathing.
Carefully, I stepped aside
I let him drive
Just took a ride
On grace.
