    Looking through
    This filmy pane of glass
    I see you smiling
    Only thoughts that
    Trickle through
    My feelings.

    Rescuing
    My inner core of peace
    Veins that cry more than bloodlines.

    What is this
    That filters rainy weather
    Soft as feathers
    Like no others
    Whispering so softly
    As I peer
    Beyond the window.
