The Wall
I saw youCooking a deadly meal
Of unkept lies
And as your back was turned
I drew my sword
So slowly
As the metal slid accross the sheath
Of your indignity.
Standing in position
As you added your ingredients
Of sensless words.
And there you were
As ready to protect me
From my self-inflicted injury
I almost made.
A wall of glass
Still shaking
As it turns
To solid stone
Between us.
...And I laid down my sword...
For I don't have to defend myself
Any more.
