My Good Friend
Look at you
I see a bluish sky of reason
and the truth awaits me over dinner
Tasting many flavors 'till I reach that
final bite of fullness
What I'm looking for
This relaxing form of friendship
Honest daze
number unsuspecting ways of
counting blessings
Numbing pain and wounds that bury
under volcanoes of wary watchful eyes
I count this clock of ticking sunshine
Feel my beat and heartfelt rhythm
of my soul.
