     Little boys
    Stretching their toes
    To bounce around
    The gym.

    Rambling
    Their stories
    To those
    Who will listen.

    Trophies
    Lined up on the wall
    Celebrating their efforts
    Of hard work

    Little jumping beans
    Walking on
    The balance beam.

    Agile, but hesitant
    Afraid of making
    A mistake.

    Impatient
    Outnumbered by
    The careless mistakes
    Of others.

    Pulling into focus-
    My pride swells
    Within.

    Hug dispensing efforts
    Have paid off
    In patient
    Instruction.
