Love's Suicide
Nothing in this world can harm
as I have survived you
Nothing in this bombed out shelter
has a faith without truth
This once was an empire
stronger than the world itself
Passion gave it muscle
and love brought it wealth
But bombs started exploding
blood and bones scattered far
All the walls began collapsing
as the sky couldn't carry the stars
So, how could this have happened
in such a heartfelt land
Love's suicide within our gates
is impossible to understand
as I have survived you
Nothing in this bombed out shelter
has a faith without truth
This once was an empire
stronger than the world itself
Passion gave it muscle
and love brought it wealth
But bombs started exploding
blood and bones scattered far
All the walls began collapsing
as the sky couldn't carry the stars
So, how could this have happened
in such a heartfelt land
Love's suicide within our gates
is impossible to understand
