    For some reason unknown to me...I'll enter a piece of writing then when I come back to this web page it is no where to be found. As was with this poem/lyrics/song I just posted. If anyone reads this... has this been happening to you? Thank you for taking the time to read my works of art. Keep smiling.

    A Disguise Of Lies

     He had the feeling that something was wrong - He was wise
    She's been lieing to him but for how long? - Oh how time flies
    She'd look in his eyes and say, 'I love you' - But why disguise?
    He wanted to believe but he knew the truth - Through the lies

    Why the lies after so long? Why disguise?
    Why disguise her heart was gone? Why the lies?

    He watched his heart drop and hit the floor - Every time
    He loved her true but could take no more - No longer blind
    He got in his car and hit the road - No more lies
    He felt betrayed, he lost control - Why disguise?

    Why the lies after so long? Why disguise?
    Why disguise her heart was gone? Why the lies?

    A quick glance through his rearview mirror - One last time
    She couldn't care less, and it was clear - What a crime
    He sped down the road, cradled his sorrow - Thoughts of lies
    He lost all hope for a tomorrow - He wanted to die

    Why the lies after so long? Why disguise?
    Why disguise her heart was gone? Why the lies?

    He was a white knuckled maniac behind the wheel - He lost his mind
    Licking his wounds that would never heal - He's tasted lies
    Down the road he saw a big oak tree - Through tear filled eyes
    He was found dead at the scene - With a note near by

    He lost his mind - Love is blind

    Awww this makes me so sad! It reminds me of that country song "Whiskey Lullabye". Very tragic and beautiful song, I can hear a tune for it in my head already. Great writing Matt, I felt every vibe and every nuance of sadness in this heart wrenching piece.
