    We've sat in silence
    We've walked as kings
    Survived each corner stoned

    We've hid in holes
    In basement walls
    Then stormed the gates for home

    We've crashed our cars
    And fell in bars
    In quite a blurry state

    But it's not what you know
    It's what you can prove
    That sets the record straight

    Those crazy days
    Of yesterday
    I thought they'd never end

    Then finally
    It came to me
    This is now and that was then

    Memories are history
    My mind is as a book
    The more I flip the pages
    I need second look...
