    Alone

     I had a feeling but I was wrong - I found some hope then it was gone
    I should have read it in the cards - I should have seen it in the stars
    Nothing is as it seems - Step outside to breathe... Alone
    It would've happened anyway - Just another empty day... Alone

    I walk along the road - With nothing left to hold
    I've gotten used to this by now - Emptiness, it keeps me down
    But I look up to the stars - I wish I could reach that far... Alone
    To rise up in the night - To step into the light... Alone

    Loneliness could kill someone - But I've come to learn some truth
    Nothing's real, it's just for fun - A lie that helps me not miss you
    The love I had, the love I want - The love that died long ago
    Will I find such love again? - This I do not know

    Nothing is as it seems - Stepped outside to breathe... Alone
    It happens everyday - Lie and say that I'm ok... Alone
    A hope I can't believe - When I can't even breathe... That's 'Alone'
    It'll happen again today - I'll lie and say that I'm ok... Alone

    I agree with EyesOfRain, I could hear music as I read. Writing about all my ups and downs, my heartaches and joys is like medication. And for some reason as I finish writing I actually feel better. Another poem that I enjoyed

    This one too, flows like a song. Very sad and a little depressing as it shows that the writer has come to some kind of terms with the situation. Good job.

    Yeah, i know how ya feel... But what I've come to realize if the one you love is gone then it couldn't have been true love..And even though it hurts for awhile till you go numb, when the one God has picked out for you, you will instantly feel alive and forget about how much past relationships hurt you, they won't even mattwer and at that point if we're ever lucky to find the one true love we will know then what it really feels like... The problem these days is one person will die for the other and never stray from the relationship, try hard to make things work when the bottom starts to fall out; but the other one is either in it for the sex or money or insurance whatever benefit they can get from it.. And that's mainly why relationships fail. Anyways, HAng in there. I know it's hard but you know I have found being alone is far better then being with someone who's just using you. We can be alone together. lol.
