Battle with Breath
IT WAS A CLOSE CALL, I NEARLY LOST MY LIFE'S BATTLE TO THE CALLING OF DEATH. I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE AFRAID, AS I FELT MY EXISTENCE SLOWLY BEGIN TO FADE.
THE FEAR BROUGHT ME TO PRAY, TO PRAY FOR A CHANCE TO LOVE ANOTHER DAY.
NO ONE NEAR, NO ONE HERE, NO ONE TO COME TO MY AID. LONELINESS HAS TAKEN HOLD AS I LAY FEELING SOMEWHAT ABANDONED AND BETRAYED. I WISHED SOMEONE WHERE HERE, I WISH SOMEONE HAD STAYED.
TRYING TO REMAIN CALM, I REACH OUT TO DIAL, STILL THERE IS NO ANSWER AFTER AWHILE. AS I LAY AND WEEP, I HOPED TO FALL ASLEEP. MY DREAMS CAN KEEP ME FROM THIS TERROR, SO I LAY WITHOUT A PEEP IN HOPES TO FALL DEEP
.
MY WILL TO FIGHT TO SEE ANOTHER DAYS LIGHT, HELPED ME THROUGH THIS DISABLING PLIGHT. THOUGHTS OF THE ONES I TRULY LOVE, I KEPT IN SIGHT. AS I GATHERED MY STRENGTH I KNEW I WOULD BE ALRIGHT.
THIS DAY I WON THE BATTLE, ONE THAT I WILL WIN, AGAIN AND AGAIN. WITH THE LOVE I HAVE WITHIN, A LOVE THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN. WITH ALL MY HEARTS MIGHT, LOVE WILL PUSH THE FIGHT.
