    Love's Freedom

    TODAY I HAVE FELT FREEDOM, FREEDOM I HAVE NEVER KNOWN. A RULER OF MY OWN KINGDOM. I CAN GO ANYWHERE, WHERE EVER I WISH TO ROAM.

    ALL THE PRESSURE AND STRESS YOU HAVE LAID UPON ME, HAS BEEN LIFTED. REMOVAL OF THIS MESS HAS LEFT ME  GIFTED.

    IT IS NO LONGER A STRUGGLE TO MOVE ABOUT, WITH OUT THE WEIGHT ON MY SHOULDERS. THE WEIGHT THAT I THOUGHT WAS MY FATE.

    SAYING GOODBYE DIDN'T MAKE ME CRY, AND NO, I DIDN'T WANT TO DIE. THE GOOD IN THIS BYE HAS ME WANTING TO SPREAD MY WINGS AND FLY.

    THE CHAINS THAT HELD ME DOWN FOR SO LONG, AND THAT BOUND MY HEART WITH PAIN HAVE BEEN RELEASED. NEVER AGAIN TO RESTRAIN MY LOVE FROM THE PRISON THAT ONCE JAILED ALL HOPE.

    TODAY I HAVE FELT FREEDOM, AND I WILL RULE OVER MY HEART'S THRONE.

    "My reflection grasps and pulls me under to bring me closer to you, my dear Brena. Guide me safely in worlds I've never been, to dance once more with you, my sweet Brena...I am vulnerable, but it's all right. I never wish to see what I cannot reveal in your amber eyes." -James Keenan- For some reason, this poem makes me think of music. Lilting melodies adrift upon a breeze...strings and things and voices ringed with flavor, caught by ears eager to embrace them. Your words here are lyrical and astutely efervescent. I believe I'm writing music in my head to accompany these beautiful words...would you care to dance, my lady?
