False Expectations
Friendships grow, feelings start to flow. We both begin to glow. Neither cannot be without the other. This is what we think we know.
The glimmer begins to fade and shade has made us a bit afraid. Still we continue on with the charade.
Invading, crowding, and smothering each others space. Soon we can't stand looking at one another's face. Unable to erase any trace of this disgrace.
How wonderful the show of love's beginning, as one became the others everything. Unaware of how quickly it could be swept allaway.
Yet we strive for a new day and hope love again will finds its way.
