    These Walls


    I have built these walls around me, 
    to hide from my past and to avoid my future as it calls. 
    My body has endured many falls, I am used to this pain. 
    At least that is what I say to myself 
    as I walk through these long lonely halls. 
    I am not even sure what it is that makes me afraid. 
    Could it be the thought that all my hearts dues have not been paid. 
    Or, could it be, I just think I can't cut the grade. 
    Is it that I might get played.

    Sometimes it feels like we are stuck in a bubble, observing life, and not living our own, we step in this bubble of solitude for many diffrent resons, we distance ourselves from everyone who loves us, or would want to love us because of our own criticism of ourselves we play in our heads like a broken record. But to smash that record, and break from this bubble, we will find that the world has missed us so much, and we have missed the world. Very deep, and heart felt poem, Im sure I said too much, lol Nice write....Sev'n

    You said it exactly, not too much. Sometimes I feel like before the walls come down, there is the frame for new ones. Thank you for reading my poem.

    i know this feeling of isolation all to well....its like a self imposed exile that causes exactly what we are trying to avoid in the first place.....rejection and ending up all alone very good poem
