    Poem Commentary

i've been thinking a lot lately about a true appreciation for masculine and feminine ... full circle what beings bring to the table ... and wanting to express that ... both are needed, in balance ... to be whole ... each being, whatever their gender, carries these, as resources, accessible ... sometimes difficult to appreciate everything that goes into a full moment ...(c) 2009-2011 Dancing Hawk / Eve Hogard. Paolo commented on Being

There is a game my sons played where they took chalk and drew squares on the pavement and stood on one leg and hopped onto the squares in a patterned of their own making. This poem reminds me of this game. We see in the first part some beautifully done alliteration and unlike poorly done alliteration the words are leading us to conclude , “for every creation unleashed is a little death.” The evolution of an Idea has its own life cycle and before it expires it inspires. In this evolution we learn that there is a death of sorts but it is not, I suspect the death of the idea, but the end of the absence of one. The author isn’t done with us. The chalk is washed away and a new journey drawn. This time we are given the flip sides of three coins. Our bodies walk but our spirits drive them. We may forget the night is as beautiful as the day, and while the Sun may illuminate the day, it is the best side of the moon that graces the night. In these we find the invisible is made visible. Life is a series of moments, individual and whole. In those moments being present for them, giving in them, being able to receive in them, and knowing when to listen and when to speak. Doing your part and feeling what you will “lead to Being”. We listen to the clock of All creation tic-toc-tic-toc, bringing births of beautiful ideas live and real in the path boy might draw in chalk on the pavement.

"for every creation unleashed is a little death" Deeply contemplative and philosophical! You have a incredible gift for delivering a huge impact with a minimalistic style, one feeding off of the other! This piece will send me away with thoughts of my own. Take care!

This...the way you wrote this is great. I love it. I love how you tried to capture that balance in so few words without trying to over explain anything. It is wonderful in its length but so complex under a guise of simplicity. May the Kudos be with you. Cheers!!!

    nice! ty!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
