I really like this! Is the format for this of a classic style? I am not very well versed (no pun intended, lol!) in the many standard stylesof poetry, and when asked to classify my works, I always try to be safe and say free verse, lol! It looks to be a very definitive format and the imagery is very poignant because of it.

ty for that! it is not consciously like a classic style, but i do believe in pattern recognition, so try to incorporate that in the written word (as well as the spoken) ... often the line breaks do not come thru on the pieces i post here, lol! i'm glad they did on this one ... i try to create emphasis, and symmetry, with the spacing ... and that practice often helps me finish a piece, to round it out and tighten it up ...

I appreciate the open spirited and simplistic manner with which you write. You've left my imagination a wide birth for assigning many possible interpretations in this poem! (dancinghawk is flying high!) Take care!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
