    conversation with the moon

    conversation with the moon

the moon was staring at me all night

finally he spoke to me full and clear

" i was once a fiery blaze hurling
through space on a grand adventure.
now i am grey ash and i hang in your
    sky - just watching "

i listened to the wise old moon

" one day you will be grey ash -
but not yet - all will be grey ash-
    i'm waiting "

people have been confusing me lately

but i perfectly understood the moon when he spoke

The man in the moon (not to say there isn't a female lurking too - smile) often instills wisdom upon human kind... Your sharing of this wisdom spoken through your prose is unique and well writen!

there are theories that had the moon not been trapped in orbit around this planet, the magnetism required to sustain our atmosphere would not have become strong enough to keep it from eventually dispersing into space. therefore, no moon, no us. next time you have a conversation with the moon poetography, thank him for me :D great write!

Ah, the moon, one of my favorite subjects... good to see that someone else understands the lessons he tried to teach us. After all , he has been watching for a very long time and knows much more than we can ever realize. Good words, great poem, glad i happened by...mlea

liked it, sort of edgy and real, wasn't full of fluff.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
