loss
loss
charles bukowski already wrote a poem
about deleting a poem by accident on
his computer and how he went into a rage
and felt so bad and angry- at himself so...
he wrote about losing his poem that turned
out to be better than the poem he had lost so…
i can’t write that, but …
i did what he did tonight and it’s a very
shitty feeling (to say the least)
so …i think i’m no one special…
my thing is that i simply enjoy writing
my thoughts and observation down
on paper
some people like to go to the bowling
alley and throw the ball down and could care less about
the score …they are just happy to be there knocking down pins
and they get even happier when they get a gutter ball
so all i so is write about life’s gutter balls and strikes and
bowling shoes and crash- bang- boom and ding-a-da-ding-dong and
stuff like this
but …. if a hack bowler bowls a 200 and wants the proof, then
they want that paper , that record…and if they lose it
they just don’t feel right – if you know what i mean?
so my lost poem was a nonsense little thing (a gutter ball)
titled “cleaning out the garage” and out of all the
poems i’m gonna put in my next book this was probably going to be the worst one; but i just feel like i lost something that belonged to me..(just the same)
so….
…..like that 200 pin game that might never never be bowled again,
it’s all about me… right charles, chuck ?
