     don't take me to a coktail party

    i don't own stocks
    or play golf
    -my real estate is gone
    my business is just a job
    playing cards bore me
    and TV sports
    the news is junk
    my shirt has no pony
    i don't gossip
    and i never know
    what to do
    with the horderve
    plate and napkin
    and tooth-pick
    after i eat the little
    thing -
    if i say i like to
    write poetry
    they say " oh that's nice"

    I actually really like cmlestrade's suggestion... if you've the courage to try it, PLEASE let us all know in detail what happens LOL I've never looped the noose around myself and attended anything resembling a cocktail party, but if I have the chance to apply that bit of wisdom, I'll be sure to write something stand-up comic worthy LOL

    cocktail parties can be fun and the next time someone says writing poetry is nice be sure to tell them it's complicated or that you also perforn nuclear brain surgery on the space station. To that they probably won't have a response and if they do run.
