    im tired

     i'm tired

    of my neighbor letting his dog piss on my garbage can
    and..
    never having a clean garage and basement
    or being told about the newest tech gadget
                  ( it's so cool your asshole can dial it )
    and working for works sake.....every morning
    seeing pictures of the 100 places in the
    world I must see before i die on the magazine cover at the quick-check store
    i'm tired of drinking coffee to make me pay attention
    to the things i want to forget
    and large middle aged people driving little sports cars designed for 19 year olds - but the 19 years old can't afford them -
    and empty beachs on beautiful days
    or junk food vending machines in public schools
    and weed killer in the water -  and - motion detector operated high intensity spot lights on peoples houses that make me feel
    like an escaped convict when i take a walk around the block

    Great poem. I hate several of these things also. You bring them to light in an interesting way. I truly enjoyed this piece. Well done my friend.

    Yes. Communities are supposed to be all about kinship and social inclusion. Instead we are all made to feel like outsiders. Even in our own homes, watching television, we get alot of, "You should be this or look like that. Own this and be like me or you're nobody." Materialistic, self centered, withdrawn and driven by materialism. I feel it. Heartfelt and picturesque. Thank you...
