Star Shined On My Path

Just when you think
your life is through
and
there isn't much left for you to do

 you thought
 even the good Lord was through

but

 a star shined on your path
and gentley led you back

 you thought it was all over
you'd never be in the saddle again

 you felt like you had the mark of cain
but
 a star shined on your path

gentley brought you back

 you never thought you'd ever see
your dreams come true
and
there would always be lack

but

 a star shined on your path

 now everything seems new
the good Lord isn't through with you

  your dream is alive
your love still thrives

 invisioning that mountain log cabin
 clean crisp air
 cold stream thats became a part of your soul
 that is your dream

 you never would have found your way
 while living in darkness everday

now your hands are raised in praise
your life is filled with thanksgiving
