Standing At The Foot Of The Mountain
standing at the foot of the mountain
the weight is almost to much to bare
you can feel it in your body
you can feel it in the wind that
blows through your hair
this is one of the greatest moments
cant be compared
we are saddened by just the thought
of one innocent lost
precious sons and daughters
blood for oil,power and greed
are the lives laid down
really what they need
standing at the foot of the mountain
eyes squint from the sun
but am going to take a peek
dont want to hear words of
turning the other cheek
vengence not what I,m after
will see justice done
got to make them run
got to make them pay
child lies dying in mothers embrace
cold and hunger on their face
people who fight for their addictions
people who would die for ease
dont have any compassion
ther are a cancer they are a disease
when will we learn not to harm anyone
when will we realize pride always fails
when will we take a chance and listen to the spirit inside
when will we understand
we are all one
and
standing at the foot of the mountain
