I had this dream last night
that the world was
coming to an end

and

Jesus had already
come and gone

I was left here
all alone

I woke up
in a pool of my own sweat
was a wake up call

I thought of my friends
and loved ones
and
all those things
that I did wrong

no denying

the dream was torture
hope it never comes back
and I
hope that it is gone

felt like
I had fallen from you
a little further everyday

wont hear me
wont you hear
what I have to say

when I look up to the sky
or when I kneel and pray

been beaten by
a cat of nine tails
the nightmare
sure felt like
I was in hell

and
I fell

I fell from His hand
I slipped right through the cracks

I think that He heard my cries
and
sent the angels to bring me back

maybe the dream
was heaven sent
I know I got to
repent

I know now
the angels are with me
I know the angels are
by my side

I think they understand
my pain
I think they understand
my regrets

I think they know
I'm a simple man
tryin not to let
the devil get
the upper hand

you will know when
you really mess up
and
you will know just why

when you hear
the angels cry
