The story of the day
A broken pair of glassesAs a moment quickly passes
Inside at work walking
While thinking and talking
A bus just hit my work place
To eat which is usually the case
Tables full of people around
Luck have it they snapped and did not hit the ground
Realizing this they where taken off
Like a reflex to sneeze or cough
No time to fix them, had to be on the go
Were they repairable?, at the time I did not know
Orders of food needed to be delivered soon
As if it wasn't busy enough at noon
Later was better to fix or repair
I'm not blind with out them, to be honest and fair
Everything close is perfection
As distance becomes the challenging direction
The blur effect will occur
Near sighted is the diagnosis, and I concur
Tape or super glue
For now shall do
Sooner than later a purchase of a new pair
In march it will be two years since I had them to wear
Perhaps a different style or color
Something that my wallet can cover
Needs to be durable to last
Unlike several pairs of the past
