Detailed connection
All alone in this five gallon tankOnly for him self to thank
Where there is a lamp light on
With a normal life far and gone
Seclusion like a human mind
Only searching for what everyone is out to find
What was nature and what was reality
In a marsh land connected to the sea
Has not eat because of the stress
A new environment, mentally the turtle is a mess
Like a human with a suffering disease
In physiological agony, only asking for freedom please
Their is food right in from of him
He does not want it, as fear hits every little limb
Leaning against a rock
Feeling like a prisoner under a lock
Life is like this too
In a different way but very true
Artificial green grass and blue rocks
Like the same schedule with matching socks
Gazing through the glass in this room
Is this the end? as his mind is full of doom
Just a turtle with a simple mind
Wanting a normal life again, as millions as well are in a bind
The children think its great
As the outsider realizes the truth, and can relate
The turtle swims away in a corner from a child
Because the turtle like many belong in the wild
