Viewing of a storm

Was sunny and clouds where few
Heat dominated the day
The ground is hard and dry like dried glue
Only that it did not stay

The humidity was rising
It was getting dark outside
Rain finally, that's surprising
As many run to go inside

The wind increases quickly like so
Thunder is heard from a far
Lightening flashes that come and go
While many are driving in their truck or car

The sky becomes very dark
Sun is no longer shinning
As many get soaked at the nearby beach and park
Across from a older couple at a restaurant dinning

The ground becomes wet and soft again
As heavy rain fall continues to fall
Been a major drought, rain is no longer a matter of when
Trees gently rock, no matter short or tall

The temperature decreases quickly
No longer hot as sand
Weather outside is no longer sickly
As a storm sweeps across the land

The cool breeze and rain hit the skin
A weird feeling as wind changes directions
Now viewing from the dinning room as round three will begin
Amounts of precipitation vary in different locations

Relaxing sequence of natures many sounds
As dried leaves fall from the tree's
The noise excites and scares cats and hounds
In months this rain will be snow and later freeze
