Tale of the day
I was told to make a driveIn only minutes to arrive
Knock, knock on her door
She opens, wondering what for?
She has to go to work
She looks at me like I'm a jerk
Her eyes and face filled with disgust
Lacking all the past care, love and lust
Angry as could be
Silence and hate towards me
Work is lacking employees, they are short
Had to change her schedule, sadly to report
It's not my fault, not even my idea at all
Yet she was mean anyway I recall
Tried to be friendly and nice
Be kind and break the lack of words that where cold as ice
Nothing worked surprised to see
Doing a deed, yet payed a high fee
I was running behind in food prep
To pick her up was a job I had to accept
Treated like a fool, yet I didn't want to duel
Yet every word said to her was like fire to fuel
The good guy loses all the time
Always guilty of a never committed crime
All morning and all day
This feeling this sad emotion had to stay
Should have be, the damage done she clearly cant see
This upset with her to a high degree
I do not want a apology
It is just wasted effort and energy
This is who she is, but not what she was
Leaving the past and me behind just because
My ex, my friend and just another selfish person Different appearance but a robot, same model and same version
But why? as I cry still remembering memories and her name
She will never be the same
So the light stays on
Yet today is never gone
Shaking the head once more
Another wound to the core
