Graveyard Tan
Do you like my graveyard tan?'Cause that's where I've been,
Everyday visiting the place
Where you now lay.
The decisions you made
Are all but in the past.
They linger overhead
Like a dark storm cloud.
We all look back
remembering the good.
But we all know
I was the one who
Took it the hardest.
No one saw your pain.
No one heard your fears.
No one knew you
Like I did.
Do you like my graveyard tan?
'Cause that's where I've been,
Everyday visiting the place
Where you now lay.
The decisions you made
Are all but in the past.
They linger overhead
Like a dark storm cloud.
No one knew why it happened.
No one could explain
The reasons why.
No one knew you
Like I did.
They were all there.
They could have seen,
But they didn't.
So now they all mourn.
They're all sorry.
Do you like my graveyard tan?
'Cause that's where I've been,
Everyday visiting the place
Where you now lay.
The decisions you made
Are all but in the past.
They linger overhead
Like a dark storm cloud.
My graveyard tan
Is what people see now.
Not the happy smile
That I used to wear.
They don't hear
The healthy laugh
I used to have.
All that is left...
Is my graveyard tan.
