    Perfect

     I know I'm not perfect.
    You don't have to say
    All the things I've done wrong,
    Or all the things that I am.

    I know I'm not perfect.
    I don't have a perfect life.
    But when things go wrong,
    I just keep moving on.

    There are times in life
    When you just want to give up.
    But you have to stick through,
    And know it's gonna get better.

    I know I'm not perfect.
    But then again,
    No one is.
    So don't try to make me be.

    I know I'm not perfect.
    There are things that I do.
    So why do you
    Put me through this too?

    There are time in life

    I enjoyed your word play on this age old theme of self judgment and recognition of faults and flaws, and persevering through adversity to a perceived betterness or better world/times... The only thing that didn't really fit the general saga of humility was verses 4, 5, and closing lines where you step outside of being humble and direct a measure of blame for your problems away from yourself... I would've left that element out of this piece to maintain homogeneity of purpose; ie, we all are flawed, but we accept the responsibility for who we are and the decisions we make which sometimes put us in bad situations with less than perfect outcomes... Still, a very good and enlightening piece of work... kudo's... Doug....
