    Poem Commentary

    Ya, another women lost, or should i say never persued correctly. :)

     Another girl, another moment,
    Another poem, as if i sinned and my writing is my atonement,
    Another beauty, Another Piece of Grace,
    Another person ive met in this human, race,

    Big fuzzy hair, Honduran you may be, but i swear you got some African roots,
    Reminiscing on when you wore heels or stiletto boots,
    My friend at the time, could, should, would tell me anything,
    We could make a conversation out of nothing,
    Like a kid in a candy story you were my favorite candy, my favorite treat,
    Its likely if i had you to myself id get you all dirt and refrain from being neat,

    In all i just wanted to hold your hand,
    Sit with you close and embrace the coolness of the ocean on the sand,
    You are probably the only woman i would, could, should have married,
    On a boat we would get carried,
    Far away unto unknown places, unknown fun,
    Happily in the sun,

    But, Not smart, not skilled i messed up a good thing,
    Was nice guy too much and it cost me everything,
    No hate i nthe process, but a drifting apart was the result,
    Whereas if i stayed cool id be free of insult,
    HMMM, I still remember our college days at school,
    When you decided to dress up and have alot of men drool,
    And i play protector and try to sheild you away,

    Too much good, too much fine,
    Too much beauty and intellect created by design,
    You could take me to cloud 9 and bring me back to earth at the same time,
    Im sure whoever has you now knows you are indeed a fine wine,
    You dont get worse, you just get better,
    Darn, that reminds me of that letter,

    You know the one i wrote to express my feelings,
    The same letter that dealt the Keelings,
    Of my feelings, what an idiot i was then,
    But since it was your birthday you played cool then,
    It wasnt all bad, the gift you did enjoy,
    You did much, much more than employ,

    Found out the truth in a way that made me shy but relieved,
    Sadly i lacked the skill to do things right and so never fully believed,
    We could have been something as i sat that day self decieved,
    Years later this is written to reminisce,
    On someone i will always miss,
    But as they say, "That ship has sailed son",
    Time to charter new waters, whew, finally im DONE!

    Wow...edited or unedited. This is a treat! I feel this poem. I was in a situation similiar to this here. I wrote this guy a letter and he also had me on cloud nine and brought me back to earth at the same time. Balance. That's what we all want in my opinion right? Well, let me say this before I jump off of this comment. Your words are really something special. And I hope they continue to travel into the minds and souls of the readers... You got it kid ;-)

    Despite the few errors within this piece, I found it to be captivating. I discovered myself caught up in your emotion. This is a wonderful piece of art.
