     The Essence of the hold: 49 Lines

    Just today i saw it, I saw it clear and in plain sight again,
    I saw what i yearn to do but do so rarely and even at that, on a whim,
    They were a couple waiting in line to order their food,
    Unbeknownst to me what would follow was a couples mood,

    The man was simple, slid his left hand just around his woman's waist,
    Waited about 2 seconds to see if she would respond lest he make haste,
    Saw that she didn't but went ahead anyway,
    moved himself up to her and wrapped both arms around her that moment, that day,

    Rested his head on her shoulder as he listened to her speak of what she wanted to order,
    That invisible line between them, the line that separate them for miles, the border,
    The line i thought existed based on the way they stood,
    You would have never known they were a couple even if you knocked on wood,

    But they were that and more because she returned in kind,
    He released his hold to look at the menu and her hand found his buttocks more skillfully than a man who can read to the blind,
    A very subtle connection and observation given to me free and not sold,
    She very much wanted his physical body on hers, a sight i got to behold,

    This is nothing to the ones take something like this for granted, they see not what has been done,
    They see not how moves like this are how relationships with intimacy are won,
    And her hold to him was only a few seconds more, logistics assured that would be,
    And it is better that way because it created a pull between them you see,
    She held him just enough and it was enough for them to want each other more,
    Enough to continue to implore each other, explore,

    Now you might wonder and say,
    This was just a simple hug man, Go do something else with your life today,
    But it isn't simple, at least not simple to me,
    I was able to capture what you could not, the essence of the hold, how that lesson has enlightened me,

    You don't need a long or really tight hug to see and experience the same connection,
    A simple, subtle hug, like a walk on a empty intersection,
    I'm glad i got a glimpse, of a moment found so precious,
    Its no wonder the affects of a hug, are known to be infectious.
