The hug that threw me off
The hug that threw me off 11 LinesI had told you my heart, all that was within,
I wanted you to be my woman, girl form the begin,
Would have loved a yes when I asked you out, would have been estatic with a kiss,
You did something to soften the blow, make me miss,
You gave me the hug of hugs, so warm, so true,
A comfort I have never known before or since that night with you,
Of all the times I didnt want to let go, that one was the hardest to part,
Such a gift women have, like art,
I turned away, happy, but still yearning, not fulfilled,
It was the closest thing I would have to love, "Yay.... I'm thrilled."
