    Poem Commentary

    Quite honestly this poem doesnt do the justice Id like it to, but its a start. I may re write this at a later time or create a better version of this poem. :)

     Latina:  40   Lines

    In many words before I've spoken about you in parts, pieces,
    As if you were a bag of reeses,
    But now I reveal you full of glory,
    It's time I tell of my praise of your beauty in this poetic story,
    Not my ideal, for you come in many forms,
    And I'm proud you don't fit any norms,

    Latina, Beautiful black, red, blonde, blue, green, gray even but mostly brown hair,
    That sways with such grace and flair,
    Oh and it doesn't matter if it is short or long,
    It stills sings in my heart, a song,
    You aren't always curvy, but when you are I love you more,
    Beautiful regardless, its you I adore,

    Whether down in the south or the central north,
    Beauty lives, its spouts, comes forth,
    I just want to hold you, for comfort, in my arms,
    And keep you clear from danger, what harms,
    Any and all who stand in its way,
    And look to keep you from living day to day,

    And big brown eyes which are windows of attention,
    And cause me to stop and make and intervention,
    And pretty smile across your face,
    That can bring joy to any place,
    Some women envy you because you seem to have it all,
    Physically gifted and sassy without fall,

    And whats better is you know, yes i say know, how to live life,
    Even in the darkest hours of strife,
    I am sold! I seek you out every time,
    Because in you theres no sour limes,
    I try to tell my brethren to look, check you out,
    That they really don't know what it's all about,

    Oh well! They are stubborn, more for me,
    All that is going to do is create happy,
    And don't get mad when they call you a color you don't like, don't frown,
    I see you as beautiful, a lighter shade of brown,

    I like it! I like it all, wouldn't change it for the world,
    Not even if it meant we all got lost, swirled,
    No, as you are I like you, don't change you beautiful suprima,
    You beauty of joy, life force, glory within and out, LATINA!

    Ha ha I feel it, K. I, too, have been a happy member of the "Oooh, Papi!" club. Of course, if she'd looked like Salma Hayek, I'd still be there : D
