The Romantic Knight Part 1
The Romantic Knight: 40 LinesMost knights are known, for nobility and strength,
Some rule the world to no length,
But this one knight in particular,
Made the stronger knights feel inferior,
You see while they fought the wars and slayed the demons,
He slayed the men who for reasons,
Thought they were better than him,
In wooing the hearts of women on whim,
While on campaigns in the few moments to dream,
Many a knight thought of conquering a king,
But Mr. romantic would have none of that,
He would dream of he and a lover laying on a silk mat,
And he caressed her face, and she his hair,
And in those moments he felt on air,
He would ride his golden stallion,
And tell his comrades numbering a battalion,
That victory is ours especially for me,
She right here makes me happy,
And after the joust in which he was king,
He would sell his profit, a golden ring,
To cash in his gold and mend his armour,
To behold it was sheer glamour,
And the rest he'd spend or keep,
And seek women out, and see them weep,
With joy and love that ran deep for him,
Wherever he went there were women craving to meet him,
And he loved them all, for he was a lover of women,
Never solely with one, though he came close, brimmin,
He loved the chase as he battled city to city,
And the women who became slaves he took compassion, pity,
Bought a few of his own just so he could set them free,
And watch them find love wherever that may be,
Till he was old and could fight no more,
Only then in his dreams he'd implore,
And wonder if this is it, is this the end?
I sit now a veteran no longer can i pretend,
Will I find someone,
That i can love under the blazing sun?
Stay tuned for the conclusion,
Which might leave you black and blue, like a contusion.
