LeiLei
I cant say her full name, no not here, not this place,
But i can tell you she had a beautiful face,
I was an idiot! Not the brightest child in the bunch,
Mean to a girl who often wanted to be my friend,
Hung with me sometimes at lunch,
Even walked home with me at schools end,
But i teased when i didnt have to,
I tried to fit in, when i was already winning,
And so she got fed up, she gave me her final warning,
As usual, i tested the waters, not seeing how alarming,
And serious she was, of losing her as a friend,
A cost, that to this day, i wish i could amend,
I tried, and i tried, and i tried in vain,
But she wasnt having it, my efforts were a strain,
And constant reminder of the lesson i had to learn,
Be careful, of the bridges you burn.
