All These Windows
Open windowsUsed to paint this hollow room
That holds my thoughts,
But now those windows
Are shattered,
Crushed upon the floor.
I guess my thoughts
Were too wild for
This dreadful room to hold.
Every shard of glass
That resides upon the floor
Is another dream,
Another heart,
Another friend,
Lost or crushed.
And,
For many days,
These windows have been
Laid out on this floor.
