    Vampiric Desires

    Stained-glass windows
    In my mind
    Seem to shatter
    Every time

    A trail of blood
    Runs oh-so fine
    Giving a new meaning
    To the bloodline

    The liquid runs
    Until it falls
    To the floor
    In this lonesome hall

    The salty smell
    Is so inviting
    My human side
    Is now in hiding

    The iron taste
    Runs down my throat
    My quenching insides
    It's soon to soak

    I need more
    Oh, so much more
    Of this tasty substance

    I watch it glisten
    Dark and red
    On his wrists
    So far from dead

    I can feel the pulsing
    Beating inside him
    So much desire
To drink it out of him

    I need more
    Oh, so much more
    Of this tasty substance

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
