    Poem Commentary

This is about how people go through life complaining about so many flaws and pains and yet do so much to hurt. It's as though humanity likes pain! :) Hope you enjoyed it :)

    Such Contradictions

    So loud
    Until you go hoarse
    But can they hear you
    You're underneath this world
    Hidden behind their lies
    Their sick realities
    And demented thoughts

    Ends up
    Sounding so peaceful
    But what are you leaving
    Your so-called "opportunities"
    "True love" and "pure bliss"
    That can wait
    For the next generation

    TUrn to
    A dreadful scream
    But do they really care
    You're lost in bloody lullabies
    Drowning in your sheets
    Wishing you were
    Able to wake

    So awfully quiet
    But isn't that nice
    You're cherishing the feeling
    Of being all alone
    When such things
    Rarely last

    Though you're screaming
    And noone can hear you
    You raise your voice

    Though Death follows you
And you want to slip away
You run so far from it

    Though your dreams
    Try to kill you
    Still you slumber

    And though
    Darkness holds you alone
    And captive
    You want somebody there
    Yet you cherish
    The silence

That was very deep... I like the way you have chosen to express your darkest feelings...

Thank you! :) I am a sort of dark person...You?

Wow, that's deep, girl. I mean that in a good way. =)

Ha thank you! It's alright I guess. Low rating :O haha jk jk :D thanks

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
