Poem Commentary

Short, but it's an unfinished song I'm working on :)

Are You the Savior

Watch me,
Hear me,
Hold me
As I choke on my last breath.
Listen
Closely:
Hold these
Words in your heart 'til your death.
Maybe you can see around the darkness.
Maybe...
Maybe you can see the purity,
Just maybe
You can be our savior
Of our hopes,
Of our wishes,
Oh, of our dreams
For they do fade...

you should finish it. you have a habit of being incredibly accurate with your words when you leave things unfinished.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
