The Weekend Sand
Gentle breezes sweep by meI’m so glad that I finally
Found you; it helped define me
Patiently waiting for you to find me
Wishing your sunshine would guide me
And give ginger warmth inside me
Giving me light to avoid blindly
Stumbling as you walk beside me
Strolling in the Rain
Somewhere we’ve never been
Taking in the view
Moving on to somewhere new
Dancing once again
Life decided to be true
Romancing might pretend
To slip and say I love you
Beneath my feet is
A world that never knows
I passed over it unexposed
Leaving it alone and unopposed
Going back to be with those
Who know where my purpose flows
To fall in stride while I let it grow
Keeping your soft hand in tow
Strolling in the Rain
Somewhere we’ve never been
Taking in the view
Moving on to somewhere new
Dancing once again
Life decided to be true
Romancing might pretend
To slip and say I love you
One look in your eyes
Gave me a million reasons to try
And make you mine
Please be mine, will you be mine
