Why Worry
Worry never helped me to hopeWorry never helped me to grow
Worry never helped me to love
Worry never helped me to hug
Worry never helped me to believe
Worry never helped me to achieve
Worry never helped me to grieve
Worry never helped me to avoid being naïve
Worry never helped me to laugh
Worry never helped me to smile
Worry never helped me to live a little
Worry never helped me to run a mile
Worry never helped me to do anything good
Worry never helped me to avoid what I should
Worry never helped me to do what I could
Worry never helped me set a guide for what I would
Worry never helped me to get up again
Worry never helped me feel like I could win
Worry never helped me figure out the important meanings
Worry never will help me find the important gleanings
Worry never helped me to shrug off doubt or doubters
Worry never helped me to reroute the negative pouters
Worry never helped me to make the rain disappear
Worry never helped me to cope with the fact that the end is near
Worry never helped me to just be myself
Worry never helped me to maintain my health
Worry never helped me to feel alive inside
Worry never helped me when I hurt and cried
Worry never helped me because it never helps itself
Worry never helped me; fool’s gold is the equivalent of its wealth
Worry never helped me love someone more than ‘I’.
Worry never helped me make a mistake and wonder why
Worry never helped to sing with a calm confidence
Worry never helped me to deal with my diffidence
Worry never helped me to make a friend for life
Worry never helped me to enjoy my piece of the pie
Worry never helped me to escape the daily strife
Worry never helped me to speak clearly, instead of imply
Worry never helped to look to the future with the proper attitude
Worry never helped me to laugh when I played the fool
Worry never helped me feel the warmth of the sun on a nice day
Worry never wants to let me live a good day in an honorable way
Worry tries to kill the calm that I work so hard to keep
Worry strangles hope in an attempt to never let it breathe
Worry is the discouragement against ‘be all you can be.’
