Why I never write about her

    She is like summer
    All light and sunshine
    Verdant and full of life
    All her days

    She shines and laughs
    A nimbus blue moon
    Lighting the dark
    All her nights

She has white paint in her hair
    A dollop on her pullover
Spatters on her black heeled boots
And eyes that glow with joy

She asks why I never write about her
How could I do anything but fall short
She deserves better than a curmudgeon such as I
But she is happy and that is the best I can do

    She shines
And I remember bright lit days
    She shines
    And I remember moonlit nights

the pedastel never sat higher, lol ... tho the loftiness is created through earthly details, and the shining vision of the author ... a lyrical, romantic write, complete in its day and night devices ... a really beautiful piece, WinterFrost ... -dh

winter, Vulnerable, hear on the sleeve, etched in poetic bliss, with the poet's love for this painter that speaks volumes and is heartwarming for the reader. Gentle and romantic too. ginga

I like this. It shows how much you care for the person you wrote it for.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
