The sun has set
You reach out
Of the dark
Do not fear
For I am here

Miles apart
Yet so close
Years will pass

As I chase away

That’s what
Best friends do,
That’s what sisters
Are for

All the times
We’ve had,
Good and bad

As you chased away

The sun breaks
Through
My fogged
Gaze
Through the tears
That blur my
Vision I see
You standing
At the
End of the road
Your arms open
A smile tugging
At your lips
As you hugged me
And whispered
“It’s okay, I’ll
Dry your tears,
As you dry mine,
We’ll face our
Fears together…”
My voice cracks
As I say with you
“Because that’s what
Sisters do.”
