    Done With It All...

    Take one step forward,
    a million steps back...
    Hear them laugh
    at everything you lack...
    Hold your head high,
    but trip on your feet...
    Damn, no wonder you're sad,
    your life's much too bleak...

    So what can you do?
    What can I say?
    I dont understand
    the things you crave...

    You talk back,
    defend what honor you have,
    knowing they delibratly
    are making you mad...
    Cry yourself to sleep,
    each and every night...
    To drained at the end,
    trying to keep up with the fights.

    What happens when
    all of your strength gives out?
    What happens when
    you lay motionless on the ground?

    ... And youre done?

    strong emotions written by someone who seems to have reached the end of the perverbail rope... giving up is not an option although it sometimes seems the easiest way to escape the horrors of life... in the end the it is all worth the effort...

    Oh my, wow! Oh so true of life, right? The beginning, middle and end years. At any age, people can be so cruel that it angers me to no end!!! I hate the bullying in the schools and the mockery of any one person! I love this write as it holds the key, yes the key! the ending, you lay motionless on the ground and your done. Yep some are done and others such as yourself I pray, will find the strength to rise up and dust off. Hard years but hard life at times. With the bad there is always the good. These emotions in this write are sad and trying. Remembering my years back then were extremely hard. There were these two girls that were always going to beat me up. Now, I see them and they are both fat and ugly. Wonder what happened to the wonder girls? Great write and more then likely a time every teen goes through. Bravo I'm!! Hugz

    Many of us have that moment in life where we wonder if we truely DO have the strength to get up again... I guess im going through one of those times? Idk..... oh well. thanks for commenting. ~Audrey

    Aawww little one....so many emotions so few words to describe them. You write with a maturity that is beyond your time on this Earth. Your mind is your greatest asset and throughout life it is the one thing that no one can ever take away from you. Some of what you write is so right on track for your age, that being written there are those that still write of those things even at advanced ages. So many years are ahead for you, think of all the poems unwritten, the time less taken to ponder what might be and who you really are and will be able to express through your work. If I may...it reminds me of a snipit of a poem I wrote years ago...'Let not your brow lower as to not face the glaring, dismal future. But rather lift your face to the head long wind, forging forward with inner strength again and again.' A.T.

    I remember the pain of being a teen all too well, sweetheart All I can say is, don't ever give up. It may seem all uphill, but you'll get there:) . Trust me honey, it will get better.
